Between June's Urban Challenge in Boston, where Robin and I inexplicably managed to snag 15th place, and the National Championships in New Orleans in November, a lot has happened. Robin and her husband, Bill, enacted their plan to have a child with clockwork precision, and Karin decided to take up running, though her plan was slightly less than fully realized.

At race time, November 15, Robin is 4 months pregnant, and she can still kick Karin's booty running! Let's just say that our goal at the Urban Challenge National Championships is to win the award for Best Costume.

In any case, November found us ready to have some fun in the Big Easy. We decided to treat ourselves to a several days at the W French Quarter, before the November 15 contest. We also treated ourselves to many fine meals during our stay: from the Commander's Palace and Cuvee, to Jacques-Imo's and Mother's, we tried it all. With Robin eating for two, Karin took up drinking for two. Mmm, many Ramos Gin Fizzes!
